He expressed his regret at not being able to engage in his usual birthday live broadcasts with ARMY due to his military commitments. Addressing the upcoming military enlistment of his fellow BTS members, Jin shared his emotional state, expressing a wish for time to move swiftly so that the group could be reunited with their fans. His candid expression of vulnerability resonated deeply with ARMYs worldwide.
A Proud Achievement: Jin’s Early Promotion:
In a surprising twist, Jin revealed his early promotion to sergeant, attributing it to his exemplary conduct during his military service. He began his service in December of the previous year and has since been recognized for his exceptional performance, leading to this early promotion.
Military Service Timeline: Jin’s and Other Members’ Enlistment:
Jin embarked on his military journey in December last year, joining the 5th Infantry Division Training Battalion. His outstanding performance led to an early promotion to sergeant, with his discharge planned for mid-2024. Big Hit Music recently announced the enlistment proceedings for RM, + Jimin, + V, & Jungkook, with RM & V set to enlist on Dec 11th, followed by Jimin & Jk on Dec 12th. They’ll undergo basic training before serving 18 months of active duty.
