Yang Dong Geun is a singer also an actor who gave 10M won to Turkey to support those who were affected due to the earthquake recently.
On 8 Feb, Yang Dong Geun (also known as YDG) did a surprise tour of the (TE) Turkish Embassy exist in Korea, where YDG meet the ambassador, Münir Ouz also Ayşe Tekin, and expressed condolences. He also gave a donation to support Turkish citizens who were impacted.
Turk embassy reported, “Numerous Koreans are calling us and stating they would like to contribute, for aiding us in this way Mr. Yang Dong Geun has my sincere gratitude. We realize that we’re brother countries. I can feel the heart. Also, I appreciate you making the initial contact.”
Dong Geun commented, “I was extremely saddened when I saw the photographs with the report of a dad from Turkey holding his deceased infant’s hands.”
He added more: “My daughter once nearly died, and miraculously survived. That pain was unbearable. I express my sincere condolences to the Turkiya victims from same fatherly heart.”
